Matte & Shiny Japanese Tableware Collection

A silvered matte black body, the edge hand-dipped in a rich glossy black. A subtle play of blue and green accents are hidden within the pooling of the glaze. Each piece is hand glazed and looks individual.
 
Please note that the glaze varies from piece to piece, with different accents appearing on different pieces. Traditionally Japanese ceramics are made in odd numbers, to reflect the celebration of the natural and imperfect. 
 
Traditionally crafted by processes and techniques that have been used for generations, with the clay sourced by local makers from a huge basin within the Gifu Prefecture on the main island of Honshu. Each piece, no matter how similar, is unique in itself as it has been skilfully made and glazed by hand.
